1. Various welfare schemes are being conducted for construction workers registered
by Uttar Pradesh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, specific
achievements under the schemes for the financial year 2013-14 are as follows:-

Maternity Benefit Scheme
|
Under the scheme Rs. 12000/- are provided in two installments to the concerned registered
worker for upto maximum two childrens. Besides this the wifes of male workers are
brought under the purview of this scheme and Rs. 6000/- are provided to them in
two installments. First installment is given just after delivery while the second
installment is payble after completion of BCG vaccination.

Under this scheme total 5401 construction workers have been benefited and Rs.17608000/-
has been distributed till date.

Child Benefit Scheme
|
Under the scheme construction workers are paid Rs. 10000 per annum in case of male
child and Rs. 12000/- per annum in case of female child till the completion of two
years of age.

Under the scheme 14238 construction workers have been benifited and a sum of Rs.
7,42,605,00/- has been disbursed.

Accident Assistance Scheme
|
Under the scheme, in case of death of registered beneficiary worker due to accident
Rs. 2,00,000/- and in case of permanent complete disability/physical disability
Rs. 80000/- are paid as monetary assistance.
In the above scheme board has proposed to increase the amount of monetary assistance.

Total 110 construction workers have been benifited and a sum of Rs. 1,16,16,000/-
has been disbursed as assistance.

Meritorious Student Award Scheme
|
Under this scheme son/daughters of construction workers are awarded upto fifth and
higher classes after getting more marks than a prescribed percentage. Uhder the
scheme along with this, assistance is also provided for higher technical education.
Girls are entitled for more amount than boys.

Under this scheme total Rs. 1,65,86,000/- has been disbursed and a total 5661 construction
workers have been benifited.

Death and Cremation Assistance Scheme
|
Under this scheme instant assistance is provided after the death (except death form
suicide) of registred worker. under this dependents of the deceased are provided
Rs. 1,00,000/- as one time instant assistance and to bear the expence of cremation
etc. Rs. 15000 are permissible under the scheme.

Under this scheme total 553 construction workers have been benifited and a sum of
Rs. 3,60,25,000/- has been disbursed till date.

Balika Ashirwad Yojana
|
Under this scheme, On the birth of female child to registered construction worker
a one time payment of Rs. 20,000/- (Rs. twenty thousands) is made as fixed deposid
upto the age of 18 years and is payble through board.

Under this scheme total 806 construction workers have been benefitted and a sum
of Rs. 1,53,20,000 has been disbursed to them.

Financing plan for the purchase of tools
|
Under this scheme registred construction workers are provided a maximum assistance
of Rs. 20,000/- upto the age of 60 years this amount is payble in the multiple Rs.
2000/- in a minimum period of 2 years.

Under this scheme a total 27392 construction workers have been benefited and a sum
of Rs. 4,75,50,685/- has been disbured to them.

Cycle support plan
|
Board provides Rs. 2500/- only as subsidy for purchase of cycle the remaining amount
has to be borne out by the beneficiary worker.

Under this scheme a total of 26801 construction workers have been benefited a sum
of Rs. 6,06,55,000/- has been disbursed to them.

2. Uttar Pradesh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Baord has registred
a total 7,49,330 construction workers till date.
3. On the basis of information received from regional offices, a benefit of Rs.
78,16,30,627/- has been provided to registed workers by the Uttar Pradesh Building
and Other Consctruction Workers Welfare Board upto the month of January 2014.
4. A total of 40224 establishments and a total of 7,49,330 workers have been registred
as beneficiary construction workers since the start of the scheme.
